In the northern section of Spain, Tito Bustillo Cave has unique, even ceremonial cave art

The oldest painting in the cave represents an anthropomorphic figure, part male, part female.

Some of the paintings represent animals: horses, deer, moose and even a marine animal (probably a whale). It is believed they had a ritual purpose to improve their hunting. Invoking fertility. A painting representing female genitalia is even inside the cave.

Apart from the paintings, some objects from the Magdalenian period were perfectly preserved. Including bone harpoons; and, a carved staghorn of a goathead.
